Regis Bayside Gardens - Brighton
Regis Bayside Gardens
161 Male Street Brighton Victoria 3186
In the heart of Melbourne's most
prestigious suburb, Regis Bayside Gardens enjoys a privileged
position indeed. This elegant Brighton residence offers an array of
invigorating premium additional services and is an easy distance
from the cinemas, cafes and refined boutiques of Bay Street.
With such abundance on their
doorstep our residents love being close to home. But Bayside boasts
a diversity of stimulating excursions so they're frequently tempted
out on adventures.
Like the recent 'sea voyage' aboard
the tall ship, Enterprise, in Port Phillip Bay near Williamstown or
a Country Women's Association Morning Tea in a Toorak mansion,
complete with scones, jam and cream amid the roses. Other outings
include an afternoon of swing dancing, Morning Melodies sing-alongs
and a forthcoming afternoon tea at Como House.
Such out-and-about excitement is
matched by their in-house entertainment opportunities. A big hit is
the skittle competition we share with residents from Seaside Manor
- always a light-hearted competitive affair. Another is the visits
we enjoy from local school students from Firbank, Xavier College,
Our Lady of Sacred Heart College and Scotch College.
Residents immerse themselves in a
plethora of interesting pursuits, including poetry readings and
story telling by a recognised Australian actor, visiting magicians,
cabaret performances by Broadway-style artists and our very own
on-staff singer whose melodious voice never fails to captivate our
ladies!
Activities wise, Bayside's
lifestyle coordinator places considerable emphasis on one-on-one
attention with residents, which is particularly appreciated by our
less social individuals.
Residents' regular involvements are
almost endless; art and crafts, crosswords, word games, flower
arranging, and hydrotherapy baths with aromatherapy oils, soft
lights and music. There's yoga and meditation tailored to our high
care residents, many of whom have regained physical strengths when
they previously had trouble moving at all.
We enjoy visits from retailers whom
we call our 'travelling treasures' and our ladies always look
forward to their regular coffee club outings to atmospheric local
venues like Rickett's Point Cafe.
Our 'constructive' gentlemen are
frequent attendees at the Men's Shed in Beaumaris, a local
woodworking and companionship gathering of men from the broader
community.
Both gents and ladies love our
regular 'science time' program where they undertake impressive
projects including wooden models and small motorised engines.
Celebrations at Bayside are
perpetual too. From tradition events like Christmas, Easter,
Melbourne Cup, St Patrick's Day and Valentine's Day to birthdays
and cultural occasions - even that classic Australian icon, footy
tipping!
We are also pleased to celebrate
church services of different denominations, plus one-on-one visits
from our local Catholic church.
Family visits galore embellish
everything throughout the year. Summer favourites are the barbecues
we offer in our lovely courtyard. This leafy spot is surrounded by
what we call our sensory gardens, replete with fragrant plants and
the soothing sound of water splashing in our fountain.
Bayside Gardens residents are also
able to take advantage of the following services on offer:
- on-site hairdressing and beauty therapy
- volunteer program
- experienced in-house chef and catering staff
- special dietary requirements met
Residents receive all the benefits
of the Regis Group's living care model of responsive support
provided by leading professionals and tailored to individual
medical, cultural and religious preferences.
