All our rooms are singles with en suites and each looks onto the garden. Every low care, high care and dementia area has its own appeal, right down to the music the residents choose to play. It's invigorating to go from one to the other, listening to country music in one area then classical in the next. A walk around the entire facility feels like a tour of the world.

Of course, a great lifestyle also means making a broad range of services, activities, events and facilities available to residents. Our competitive bowls team competes vigorously for the much-coveted winner's cup. They even have their own team t-shirts. There are bus trips to rewarding spots in and around Port Macquarie. The list goes on.

Overall, we do everything possible to ensure our residents remain part of the wider community. We take them shopping each week and enjoy caf get togethers. For example, our ladies love visiting Spotlight while our men browse through Bunnings.

Inspiring our residents inspires us. The enthusiasm and determination of every individual is a joy to see.

For example, one of our more physically-restricted residents never let's anything beat him. He continues to make wonderful woodwork items and our maintenance officer is pleased to let him share his area.

Our latest venture is to transform one of our outside spaces into a proper woodworking shed so his creations can encourage other residents to join in. After all, inspiring others by example is what we're about at Hastings Manor, and that includes ourselves!
