Substantial in all sorts of ways, Regis Inala Village is an exciting mix of communities in South Blackburn, stretching across almost 10 hectares of greenery, great places to walk and relax. Most substantial of all is the wonderful mix of people, diverse cultures and characters.

The village's namesake is Regis Inala Lodge, a dedicated high care residence for 130 people including a separate area for dementia specific residents.

The Inala Lodge is divided into three wings; Wilani, Jharmbi and Yana, with a sense of welcome engendered by each one through the special relationships staff share with residents, especially the large number of qualified nurses on duty at all times.

Inala Lodge affords excellent connections with local health providers, including in-home services with Eastern Health and Aged Care Access Initiative. As part of this service, residents enjoy the individual expertise of a visiting physiotherapist, speech therapist, dietician and podiatrist.

We are also pleased to be such an integral part of the broader village community, which includes Alawarra Lodge and Milpara Lodge - residences which each provide equally lovely homes and dedicated care.

Within Inala Village everything centres around our village hub, a bustling place alive with coffee shop conversations of residents and their families, a small well-stocked supermarket and even our own weekly banking service.

The list of what we offer village-wide goes on. A dedicated day therapy unit with physiotherapy and podiatry services, a spacious barbecue area, outdoor swimming pool and spa. Our own chapel, which conducts various denominational services, and a contemplative memorial garden with a lovely ambience created by water features located around the village. We even have our own internal bus service.

Tailored to specific requirements and abilities of residents, the village's program of lively activities is simply magic.

The village offers our residents a diversity of entertainment on a weekly basis, including wonderful visits from school children, scouts and guides. We're also extremely pleased to have a close relationship with the nearby Bunnings store. They generously offer a host of creative injections for our residents, including guided tours, and donated craft and gardening materials.

The well-being of our residents is helped considerably by healthy cuisine. Our dietician-approved menu provides a large range of alternative options according to diet specifics, and residents always get to consult on inclusions.

With local shops in front and behind us, a bus route past the door, the nearby Laburnum train station and regular excursions galore, Inala Village and Inala Lodge is certainly in the heart of Melbourne.
