The gentle ambience of Regis Ku-ring-gai Gardens is hard to pin down. In part, it comes from our lush garden setting and the subtle dcor of a recent refurbishment. But it mostly comes from a calmness which pervades the entire residence.

Located on the old Pacific Highway (used only by local traffic) in Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai Gardens is set on a gentle slope that adds character to the whole beautifully landscaped site. These gardens add a real feeling of intimacy outdoors. We love them and our neighbours do too. After all, we're named 'gardens' for good reason.

As an extra service facility, Ku-ring-gai provides the considerable benefit of full security hotel-style living within a modern social setting. Our facilities include a cinema room, formal dining rooms, lounge area and two separate courtyards with barbecues.

One of the advantages of our on-site kitchen is having lovely home-cooked smells wafting through the building. Our residents agree there's nothing better to work up an appetite!

All rooms at Ku-ring-gai are singles with en suites and we make considerable effort to balance people's appreciation of privacy with community inclusiveness and participation.

Our total of 70 beds is an ideal size to maintain our prized sense of community without overwhelming individuality. At Ku-ring-gai, everyone knows everyone but residents still enjoy their own space.

Our Hornsby location offers us the best of all worlds. Central Sydney is less than 30 minutes drive away, there's a large Westfield shopping centre within a kilometre and the magnificent Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and Butterfly Farm are just down the road.

Longer highlight trips include visits to the Hawkesbury River or Sydney Harbour. Residents love excursions of all sorts but the butterflies are a huge hit.

For residents who aren't able to go out we bring the community to them, with magical concerts and events. This annual program is tailored to everyone's needs and decided upon in-part by residents themselves.

There's always something special going on. Residents particularly adore concert performances from visiting school children. They love their birthday celebrations too, although they always tell us not to make a fuss, which we always do!
