Regis Sherwood Park - Junction Village
18 Sherwood Road
Junction Village Victoria 3977
Everyone at Regis Sherwood Park is
excited to be part of a go-ahead new area like Cranbourne.
Especially because we're tucked away in one of the quietest, most
established parts of this bustling outer eastern suburb of
Melbourne.
Set within the leafy residential
precinct of Junction Village, Sherwood Park has the best of all
worlds. We're within easy reach of a comprehensive range of local
shopping centres and city-style services, and the beautiful
hinterland beckons as an everyday escape. We've got lush and green
Gippsland in one direction and in another, direct freeway access to
the city.
Our residents love their
excursions, which range from weekly trips to shops and cafes to
forthcoming journeys farther afield, like Phillip Island to see the
penguins and koalas.
A real favourite with our keen
gardeners is the Cranbourne Botanic Gardens - a wonderland of
native plants and landscapes that is literally around the corner.
It's captivating expanse inspires our own much-admired gardens.
The bushland and rural idyll around
us is in tune with the comfortable country vibe of Sherwood Park,
which comes as much from our friendly residents and staff as the
nearby herb farms and horse paddocks.
Speaking of horses, another
attraction appreciated by residents is our proximity to the
Cranbourne Racecourse, with its variety of social and sporting
opportunities. Between the track and the gardens, we consider
ourselves very lucky to have such excitingly different cultural
pursuits on our doorstep.
In-house options are equally
varied. Like our Brain Gym, an inspiring activity endorsed by
Alzheimer's Australia that helps residents stay as 'on the ball' as
possible. It involves 10 minutes of thinking-specific exercises,
which participants love so much we often see them rushing from
their rooms in order not to be late.
Supplementing our range of daily
physical exercises is the popular Wii interactive game. The bowling
feature is particularly well utilised by residents. Joining in the
fun are the many energetic and engaging school students who visit
us regularly as part of their community service programs.
At Sherwood Park, there's something
for every interest and ability level, from our active low care
residents to the close knit and well cared for group in our small
dementia unit. The sincere relationships between residents and
staff have been formed over many years. It is a longevity that
pleases us greatly and underpins the closeness of our whole
community.
Of course, wonderful food helps
social cohesion as well as mental and physical acuity. It's one of
the reasons why we're so proud of what's presented at mealtimes.
That includes our delicious homemade cakes and assorted pastries -
each a special treat for every palate.
Sherwood Park residents are also
able to take advantage of the following services on offer:
- on-site hairdressing and beauty therapy
- volunteer program
- experienced in-house chef and catering staff
- special dietary requirements met
Residents receive all the benefits
of the Regis Group's living care model of responsive support
provided by leading professionals and tailored to individual
medical, cultural and religious preferences.
