Tucked into a private cul de sac, we're fringed by established trees that provide wonderful homes for all sorts of native birds, including kookaburras. Flitting back and forth between our gardens and the adjoining acres of bush, each day they grace us with their songs. Treetops is well named indeed.

This lush environment continues throughout our gardens which are embellished by waterfalls, rock features and leafy pathways ideal for quiet, private walks. A favourite pastime among residents is spotting the abundant wildlife in our grounds, including dragon lizards and bush turkeys.

Such seclusion belies just how close we are to all the amenities and interests of Brisbane. A bus stop within 100 metres puts residents within easy reach of the shops, churches and community groups in and around The Gap.

Caring for low, high care and dementia residents, Treetops encourages all residents to mix as much as possible. This is especially the case during our many gatherings.

From regular physical and lifestyle therapies, dancing and sporting pursuits to our popular coffee club in our al fresco cafe, there's always something going on among residents. Treetops Manor even has its own 'foodie group', a collective of interested residents who provide input on menu formulation for our in-house chef.

A recent addition is a Ninteno Wii. Of all the interactive simulations it offers, residents love boxing the most, meaning there are as many bouts of hilarity as there are boxing bouts! The in-house cinema is always busy too, especially when new release movies or the football finals are shown.

Schools visit to perform concerts as part of our regular program of entertainment. We're very lucky to have our own magnificent singer on staff. Treetops Manor's music therapist holds vocal and piano concerts five days a week.

Residents also love our aromatherapy and massage room, hairdressing salon and the chance to utilise visiting health services. Beyond our own community, regular excursions are organised to areas around Brisbane, like recent bus trips to the Port of Brisbane and Mount Cootha.
