Formerly Mildura Nursing Centre Regis Ontario joined the Regis family of aged care facilities in May 2011. A specialist high and dementia care facility Ontario’s focus is on meeting the needs of its residents, ensuring each individual is treated with dignity and respect, all whilst maintaining their independence. Daily activities are a big part of life at Ontario no matter what our residents' level of ability - we start each day with our daily exercise class setting us up for the numerous activities, outings and get-togethers on offer. Residents plan their activities at the begining of each month with our bubbly lifestyle staff, so they know exactly what each day is going to hold. A proud a multicultural facility, residents and staff alike never miss the chance to embrace and celebrate the area's rich multicultural heritage, be it Italian National Day, St. Patrick's Day, Chinese New Year or Bastile Day. On days where our residents prefer to be a little more relaxed they can sit back read the daily paper, take in their favourite show on AUSTAR or sit out in our lovely gardens interacting with our resident birds. For those with a green thumb we have raised garden beds which in full bloom give a lovely colour and fragrance to the area. For those a little less mobile we have our wonderful Wattle Club, giving special one on one attention and personalised activities tailored to the individual, ensuring everyone's needs are met. Our dementia residents have their very own Sunshine Club which embraces their abilities and also gives them specialist one on one time and activities. Of course all of our activities and lifestyle programs include family, friends and the local community. Vistors are also encouraged to stay and share a meal with their loved ones. All meals are prepared daily on site by our chef and we believe fresh is best, making the most of seasonal produce and embracing menus from around the world as well as traditional Aussie favourites.
