Jeff Butler
Customer Solutions Consultant

Regis Advice is the newly created National Customer Service Centre for the Regis Group. Regis Advice aims to help families understand the steps to aged care and assist people in identifying an appropriate Regis residence, booking tours and applying for bed vacancies or waiting lists.

Jeff Butler is one of the Advice team and came to Regis in April with an extremely high pedigree - he was a finalist of the 2008 International Customer Service Professionals - Call Centre Champion Award. He was nominated by his previous work place Australian Unity Health Insurance for outstanding customer service and for implementing a coaching program that improved the customer experience.

Jeff's qualifications in Frontline Management have helped him hone his innate skill in providing assistance. He says he likes his role as he is able to spend the time needed in providing friendly compassionate support for families through the initial steps of finding a home. He also enjoy working with the supportive and caring people at Regis.

When Jeff's not busy assisting others, he is helping raise his five children. Family time is precious and is spent together sailing, watching movies or with friends. Jeff's life is very full of family - the Regis family and the Butler family!

Christine Whitcombe

Christine Whitcombe
Chef

Regis Lakeside  Chef Christine Whitcombe recently won the Outstanding Enviromental Services Staff Member of the Year Award at the Regis National Staff Awards.

Christine has lead the kitchen at Regis Lakeside for the past 6 years and as a testament to her leadership style kitchen staff turnover is extremely low.

As well as being the Chef at the facility Christine also fulfills the roles of workplace health and safety officer and fire warden and is a member of the quality team.

Chris continually strives for improvement and has commenced a bi-monthly food focus group with the facility's residents, getting their feedback on menu choices, food quality and service levels.  She attends resident meetings and spends time one on one with residents addressing any concerns they may have over the menu or workplace health and safety.

Chris is enthusiastic about her work, is creative with her menus and ingredient selection and always remains within her budget.  Her colleagues say she never judges and always listens and collects information before making a decision.

Sue Rush

Susan Rush
lifestyle Coordinator

The winner of the Outstanding Care or Lifestyle Award at this year's National Staff Awards Regis Shelton Manor's Susan Rush isn't one to take no for an answer - just ask the Frankston Men's Shed facilitators.

Sue is a strong advocate for those in her care and whether the issue involves food, activities or care she believes that just because a person enters an aged care facility it doesn't mean their life should stop.

When told her resident's couldn't attend the local Men's Club as they were aged care residents and no longer qualified Sue took up the fight on the resident's behalf, not resting until the "rules" had been changed and her male residents were welcomed with open arms.  The residents involved are now brighter and happier as they get to enjoy activities that they enjoyed when they lived in their own home.

Sue also lends her knowledge, skills and time to other facilities in Victoria to ensure training and full compliance in the area of diversional therapy.
