Studies Assistance Program

Each year, Regis offers a Studies Assistance Program for all staff working in residences.

Regis provides access for employees to engage in external learning and development opportunities that develop skills and knowledge consistent with Regis business needs and strategic direction.

Grants of up to $2,500 per individual are available from a total pool of $50,000.

To be eligible, employees must have been employed by Regis on an ongoing basis for a minimum of 2 years part-time.

Selection criteria for the Studies Assistance Program are as follows:

  • The learning initiative should focus on technical and information-based learning initiatives specific to the individual's work area;
  • Proposed tertiary or TAFE courses must be stated in the "Individual Development Plan" of the employee;
  • The development needs of the individual are in line with the strategic direction of the business;
  • Study undertaken is relevant to current and future career aspirations of the individual with Regis;
  • The proposed learning intervention is the most appropriate development option available;
  • The applicant must work for Regis for a minimum of two (2) years following completion of the course;
  • A review of continuing support will be undertaken every 12 months. Staff are required to submit an application each year and are not guaranteed assistance in each year of their selected course;
  • Reimbursement of fees to Regis will occur in the event the staff member fails to complete the course or leaves the organisation within one year of course completion.

Applications are taken during December / January each year.
