Each year, Regis offers a Studies
Assistance Program for all staff working in residences.
Regis provides access for employees
to engage in external learning and development opportunities that
develop skills and knowledge consistent with Regis business needs
and strategic direction.
Grants of up to $2,500 per individual are available from a total
pool of $50,000.
To be eligible, employees must have been employed by Regis on an
ongoing basis for a minimum of 2 years part-time.
Selection criteria for the Studies Assistance Program are as
follows:
- The learning initiative should focus on technical and
information-based learning initiatives specific to the individual's
work area;
- Proposed tertiary or TAFE courses must be stated in the
"Individual Development Plan" of the employee;
- The development needs of the individual are in line with the
strategic direction of the business;
- Study undertaken is relevant to current and future career
aspirations of the individual with Regis;
- The proposed learning intervention is the most appropriate
development option available;
- The applicant must work for Regis for a minimum of two (2)
years following completion of the course;
- A review of continuing support will be undertaken every 12
months. Staff are required to submit an application each year and
are not guaranteed assistance in each year of their selected
course;
- Reimbursement of fees to Regis will occur in the event the
staff member fails to complete the course or leaves the
organisation within one year of course completion.
Applications are taken during December / January each year.
