RegisCare Regis' Home and Community Care Division is known as RegisCare. RegisCare aims to support your independence and enable you to live in your own unique home environment. Our role is to support your choices, ensure flexibility in the delivery of our services, enabling you to maintain your lifestyle, whilst respecting your dignity at all times. Our RegisCare approach focuses on partnership. It is important that we work together with you and the important people in your life, to develop your individual care plan; adapting services as your needs may change. Our RegisCare Team works locally and is well connected to other local aged care agencies including our own quality residential aged care service, providing easy access to respite and residential care, should your needs change. The RegisCare Team, led by our Community Care Manager, is a group of dedicated staff, who enjoy working with older people and their families. All of our staff are fully trained and qualified, and participate in ongoing education programs and regular team meetings, to ensure continuous improvement of our service delivery to clients. What is a Community Aged Care Package? A Community Aged Care Package (CACP) is an Australian Government funded program that assists and supports older people with a range of low care needs to remain living at home. Packages are tailored in such a way as to ensure the program can meet your physical, social and cultural needs. What is an Extended Aged Care at Home Package? As with the Community Aged Care Package the Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH) Package is an Australian Government funded program assisting and supporting older people with a range of care needs to remain living at home. EACH packages provide for higher levels of support than Community Aged Care Packages whilst still taking into account your physical, social and cultural needs. How do I access these services? To benefit from a Community Aged Care Package, you will need to have an assessment from your local Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). This assessment is free and can be arranged by your local GP. The assessment will determine if you are eligible to receive aged care services. If your assessment leads to you accessing either a Community Aged Care Package or an Extened Aged Care Pakage, our RegisCare Community Care Manager will discuss your needs, to help you and your family make informed choices about the services you will require. RegisCare Services As part of the RegisCare service you will be assigned a Care Manager, who will visit you regularly in your own home. Your Care Manager will be the key contact person for you and your family at RegisCare. The Care Manager will work with you and/or your family representatives to tailor a special program of care and services that support your decision to remain at home. Some examples of services offered include:
These services will be provided by our dedicated and specially trained RegisCare Home and Personal Carers. Is there a fee for these services? Both the Community Aged Care and Extended Aged Care at Home Packages are funded by the Australian Government. However, you may be required to pay a weekly contribution fee to supplement the cost of providing your care program based on your assessed financial circumstances. Fees are variable and are based on your income level. If you are currently on the maximum basic rate of pension, your fees will not exceed 17.5% of that pension. If you have a higher income you may be asked to pay additional fees. This will be made clear at the time of the assessment with our service.
