Recently residents from Port Macquarie attended the Teddy Bear Picnic hosted by St Columba Anglican School. The event raised $1000 for the charity and brought together children, staff, Regis residents and St Columba’s students to advocate for Stillbirth Foundation Australia.

The Stillbirth Foundation Australia inaugural Teddy Bears Picnic raises awareness for the foundation who provide research and education to prevent stillbirth in Australia.

Aged care residents relished the afternoon sunshine and enjoyed catching up with the kids from Across All Ages intergenerational program. They had a marvellous time socialising with the local community, trying some face painting and munching on freshly made scones from the School canteen. Lifestyle Coordinator Amber Bradshaw says that “the residents had an absolute ball!”

Regis Port Macquarie and Columba Cottage run an intergenerational program called Across the Ages. This program sees children from the Columba Cottage kinder visit Regis Port Macquarie aged care facility were residents and children participate in art classes, singing and other activities.
