Aged Care Lifestyle Program Sees Residents Visit Bribie Island

Residents at Regis Caboolture aged care home in Queensland enjoyed a day of leisure and adventure visiting Bribie Island for an aged care lifestyle outing. The fishing trip came about after a new resident arrived at Caboolture with a passion for fishing and a friend at Bribie Island Boat Charters.

Soon after members of the ‘Men’s Shed’ and ‘Ladies Chat Club’ unanimously voted that a fishing trip to Bribie Island was the perfect aged care lifestyle activity and it was marked in the events calendar.
So with assistance from Regis’ staff and our generous volunteers at Regis Caboolture, the trip was booked with the obliging team at Bribie Island Boat Charters.

The day was pleasant when the adventuresome group started out and as soon as aged care residents stepped on board the boat story telling began as residents reminisced on their favourite fishing trips and boating adventures.

After the relaxing ride residents, stopped for a bite of fish and chips before returning to Regis Caboolture delighted with the day’s activity.
