Regis Sippy Downs aged care facility organised a fantastic day cruise for residents, destination The Wharf Mooloolaba.

Lucky Sippy Downs attendees dressed their best, pulled out the sun hats and sunscreen for what was a beautiful morning cruise.

Fourteen residents accompanied by our dedicated Regis staff and a few family members, travelled to the wharf on what was a sun soaked Tuesday. The excitement was palpable with resident adoring the Mooloolaba canals and harbour and relishing the chance for a tasty seafood lunch.  There were plenty of juicy prawns, fish and chips to satisfy all!

Residents cruise around the wharf

The fortunate travellers had nothing but beautiful blue skies for the entire trip with resident taking the chance to soak up some sun, good company and many reminisced on sailing and fishing trips and beach holidays with family and friends from their youth.

The Skipper Warren and his crew impressed everyone on-board with their hospitality and knowledge of the local area.  Day trip attendees commented on the fabulous weather and leisurely day they spent in the sun.   With one resident saying, “Gliding on the canal, it’s been a great journey, so smooth with no wind around. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.”
