Regis Brighton – COVID-19 update – Negative results for all residents and staff


Families,

I’m delighted to share with you today that all results from our recent COVID-19 testing have returned negative. This is exciting news for Regis Brighton.

We have advised the Department of Health and Human Services of these negative results and they are considering our transition to ‘Enhanced Surveillance’. We are continuing to work with them to understand exactly when this might occur.

Enhanced Surveillance means that residents will be able to come out of their rooms and staff will no longer be required to wear full Personal Protective Equipment. Staff will however continue to wear face masks and shields at all times. It also means that very limited visitation will be possible, with exceptions on compassionate grounds only.

Justine continues to work closely with our staff on the upcoming transition to Enhanced Surveillance and preparing the Home. She has also been meeting with residents to explain this to them and respond to any questions or concerns they may have.

Our clinical team has completed their round of daily assessments on all residents. As always, we will make contact if there are any changes to discuss. The Lifestyle team has also focused on providing one-on-one activities for residents in their rooms and supporting phone and FaceTime calls.
