Regis Sandringham aged care lifestyle team recently organised a Biggest Morning Tea as part of the Cancer Council Australia annual fundraiser.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is a way for community members to come together and make a difference by fundraising for the 1.1 million Australians who are living with or survived a diagnosis of cancer.

The event was attended by students from St Kevin’s School and Beaumaris North Primary School, the latter’s choir performed at the Regis Sandringham aged care home much to the delight of our aged care residents.

Lifestyle Coordinator Chng says, “The atmosphere was vibrant with everyone stopping to listen to the choir and community members expressed their happiness savouring the chance to get involved and show their support for such a meaningful cause.”

There were prizes donated by family members, staff and residents got involved wrapping the 20 odd prizes which raised $560 for Cancer Council Australia.

Regis Sandringham lifestyle team and residents were excited by the outcome of their efforts and are planning an even bigger Biggest Morning Tea for 2018.
