It has been a busy day today at Regis Cranbourne. All residents and staff had their second COVID-19 test in line with the advice from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). A large team from Sonic Healthcare was on site this afternoon to complete the testing process. We expect the results to be returned in a day or so and will advise you once we have them.
In addition to the COVID-19 testing, our clinical team has completed their daily assessment of all residents to check their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing using the DHHS screening tool. We will continue to do this every day and as always, will update your if the clinical status of your loved one changes.
Our Lifestyle team is working with each resident to ensure they feel supported and engaged during this time and we have had great feedback on our adapted program. Last night, just after sunset, some of our residents watched the live streaming of penguins waddling up Phillip Island’s beaches. This was enjoyed by all.
We continue to support our staff to comply with all aspects of the Outbreak Management Plan to help reduce the risk of transmission in the Home. This includes:
Our two staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19 remain in isolation recovering. We are in regular contact with them to ensure they get the support they need. Our thoughts are with them during this challenging time.
We will continue to update you daily via email and also regularly through phone contact. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please call Regis Advice on 1300 998 100 to be put through to our senior team who are on standby to take your calls.
I would like to thank you for your support and understanding at this time.
