Regis Fawkner – COVID-19 update


I can now confirm that all residents and staff test results have been received from the most recent round of testing at Regis Fawkner. All results from this round are negative for COVID-19. The Department of Health and Human Services has advised that the next round of testing will occur in the next few days, probably tomorrow afternoon. We will confirm once we know when this will occur.

This is good news. We will continue to focus on the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our residents. The clinical team has completed their daily round of assessments for all residents using the DHHS screening tool. They will be in contact if the clinical status of your loved one changes.

Our Lifestyle team has also been supporting our residents with their mental and emotional health. The team has introduced a new game, hallway bingo to keep residents engaged. It’s a spin on standard bingo, where the residents remain in their rooms and our Lifestyle team call numbers from the hallway. Residents are enjoying this activity.

We would like to thank our families who provided positive feedback on Betcy, our acting Lifestyle coordinator, who continues to work on connecting families with residents.
