Regis Cranbourne – COVID-19 update

Dear Families,

I am very pleased to let you know that all results from the latest round of COVID-19 testing for all residents and staff at Regis Cranbourne are negative. This is great news.

We are working with the Department of Health and Human Services and following their instructions closely. They have advised that the next round of COVID-19 testing for residents and staff will be in the next few days. We will advise you when this will occur.

We remain hopeful that we will soon be able to move Regis Cranbourne into ‘enhanced surveillance’. Enhanced surveillance means that residents will be able to come out of their rooms and staff will no longer be required to wear full Personal Protective Equipment. Staff will however continue to wear face masks and shields at all times. It also means that very limited visitation will be possible, with exceptions on compassionate grounds only.

Our clinical team has completed their round of daily assessments and continue to work closely with the Monash Health In-Reach team when needed. As always, we will make contact if there are any changes to discuss. The Lifestyle team has also focused on providing one-on-one activities for residents in their room, including virtual tours of the Botanical Gardens. This was enjoyed by all.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Regis Advice on 1300 998 100 to be put through to our senior team who are on standby to take your calls and follow up on requests.
Thank you for your patience, support and understanding

Best wishes,

Linda Mellors
