Claims made by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) in a press release dated 4th September are completely wrong and wholly misleading.

The ANMF claims that “the five Non-Executive Directors of Regis alone, were paid $34,178,473 last financial year.”

This is absurd and false.

As detailed in Regis’ Annual Financial Report published on 31 August 2018, total remuneration paid to all Regis’ Non-Executive directors for the year ended 30 June 2018 was $900,564.

Sustainable Federal Government funding is essential to continue providing quality care to the growing number of senior Australians relying on aged care services in all communities and regions across the country.

Regis is one of Australia’s leading aged care providers, providing care to more than 6,000 elderly Australians and employing more than 7,000 staff.

We remain committed to investing in the aged care sector, our people and our facilities in order to ensure the ongoing high standards of care for our residents while also providing reasonable returns for our shareholders, which include retail shareholders and Australian superannuation funds.
