Students Adopt a Grandparent at Regis Hornsby

Students from Abbotsleigh Junior School in Upper North Shore of Sydney have become a much love part of Regis Hornsby with the community Adopt-a-Grandparent initiative program.

The students, aged 6 to 12, visit three times a month and stay for morning tea as well as take time to get to know residents at the aged care home.

The Adopt a Grandparent program is very popular at Regis Hornsby with many residents enjoying taking the time to learn about the lives of the young people and share their stories.

Regis Hornsby’s Facility Manager comments that it’s important for residents to stay connected to the community and they look forward to the one on one time to get to know the students.
