Residents at Regis Gatton aged care home are known to have green thumbs so when Lockyer Valley Regional Council held a Garden Competition recently five enthusiastic residents, with the support of Regis staff, entered.

Lifestyle Coordinator Deb says residents at Gatton are avid gardeners and are always looking for ways to improve the garden and its design.

After weeks of preparation and hard work the entrants presented to the judges who visited the home for an official morning tea.

Gatton was thrilled with the outcome of the day, winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes as well as a recommendation for two others.

Maureen Salisbury won 1st place, Danny Capner and Neil Hodgen 2nd and 3rd place went to Joan Harding. Congratulations to all participants and Regis staff for their extra support during the competition!
