Residents of Regis Camberwell were treated to a delightful musical performance by the incredible talents of Australian harpist Marshall McGuire and recorder virtuoso Genevieve Lacey.
The duo performed for approximately 45 minutes in the level 2 Piano Lounge, a space quickly becoming the go-to spot for enjoying live performances. The event was organised by Kate Durham, wife of resident Julian Burnside AO KC, and their good friend Julie Kantor.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as residents, employees, and guests gathered to enjoy the beautiful music. Champagne and morning tea were served, adding to the festive ambiance. The performance was not only a treat for the ears but also a wonderful opportunity for social interaction and community bonding.
Music has a profound impact on the wellbeing of residents, offering numerous benefits such as reducing stress, enhancing mood, and fostering a sense of connection. Events like these bring joy and enrichment to the lives of our residents.
Marshall and Genevieve’s performance was a highlight for everyone in attendance, and we are grateful for their contribution to our community. We also extend our thanks to Kate Durham, Julian Burnside AO KC, and Julie Kantor for organising this special event.
Julian recently became a resident of the newly opened Regis Camberwell. He is one of the first residents to reside in the well-sought-after luxury apartments, which boast beautiful views of the surrounding parklands and a lounge room that is perfect for hosting visiting family and friends.
