We are so proud to celebrate one year of Regis Camberwell!
Residents, families and employees all came together to eat, drink and share ‘golden memories’ of the year that was.
General Manager Richard Jone opened the day, welcoming everyone to the celebration. Kate, Regional General Manager, followed Richard’s sentiments and said Regis Camberwell’s success, “is an absolute testament to the leadership team here on site, for creating a space that residents just want to be.”
Regis Camberwell features 112 rooms, suites and apartments, all with private ensuites, and boasts an onsite salon, day spa, private dining facilities, cinema and a library. The Home offers various care options, including ongoing care, short-term care, palliative care and a Memory Support Unit, tailored to meet residents’ unique needs.
Within its first year, Regis Camberwell has already welcomed over 100 residents to their permanent home.
The Home was built with sustainability front of mind, with innovative design features throughout. Regis Camberwell has implemented solar energy, passive design principles, advanced climate control systems, comprehensive recycling programs, sustainable building materials and environmentally sensitive landscaping. These all contribute to Regis’ commitment to environmental responsibility, whilst adding to the comfort and wellbeing of residents and employees.
Richard Jones, the General Manager at the Home said, “working at Regis Camberwell has been such a pleasure, I’ve watched the place turn into a warm and vibrant home.”
Thelma, the Home’s first ever resident, took to the stage to share her memories of the year. “To see the development of Regis Camberwell has been amazing. Coming into aged care, initially my feelings were very mixed but that soon changed, following the very special welcome from the Regis employees. On that first day, they gave me flowers and chocolates, but the most important thing they gave me was their love and I really appreciated that.”
