Residents and employees at Regis Holland Park recently came together to celebrate a very important national holiday… National Pizza Day!
The team at the Home put together a fun and interactive pizza making session, where residents created their own pizzas. They prepared meats, cheeses and greens, before picking their favourite toppings and popping the pizzas in the oven.
The activity was a success amongst the residents, sparking excitement and creativity.
Resident Mele shared, “The pizza making was so much fun. It’s been a while since I made pizza, but I thoroughly enjoyed it today and it was delicious.”
As residents chose their toppings, many reminisced memories of making pizzas throughout their life with family and friends. Resident Maria reflected how times have changed, and now making a pizza is as ‘easy as pie’! She said, “these things are so easy to make now. You just assemble everything and put it in the oven. Our days were different, we made it from scratch.”
Adding to the positive feedback, resident Ian shared, “these pizzas are outstanding. I absolutely loved the idea of choosing your own toppings, mine was a supreme one!”
It was a delightful afternoon of laughter and delicious food. At Regis, our teams work to create supportive spaces like these, where residents can express themselves creatively and connect with others.
