Alan from Regis Legana in Tasmania enjoys making miniatures and has recently completed a hothouse model. His endeavour took him approximately 4 weeks to complete, working up to 5 hours per day. Alan shared with us that he enjoyed the concentration aspect and has made larger models previously – however, nothing as fiddly as this!

The model is complete with plants, tools, a potting bench, bags of seed, soil and even artwork. Alan is now working on his next masterpiece – ‘Simons Coffee House’ which is proving more challenging as every piece has to be covered in veneer. We can’t wait to see the final product!

Set in a tranquil, rural setting, Regis Legana is just a 5-minute drive to Legana Beach and the Tamar Island Wetlands, and 20-minutes from Beaconsfield Mine along the picturesque Tamar Valley. We’re beautifully situated and our home has an authentic country feel to it, alongside magnificent views of the snow-peaked mountain ranges.
