Newsroom

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated in National Safe Work Month 2016! As each year passes, National Safe Work month gets bigger and bigger with new innovative and outstanding celebrations during October.

The WHS Department is pleased to announce this year’s competition winners:

  • Most Outstanding Facility Activities: For the third year in a row, Regis Bunbury (WA)
  • Most Outstanding Safety Costume : The Safety Elves, Regis Greenmount (WA)
  • Most Outstanding Safety Cake: Martina Felkel and Craig Wellman, Regis Dandenong North (VIC)

This year’s winners:

Regis Bunbury in WA displayed another year of outstanding creativity and team work. Staff and residents came together to produce a “The Tortoise and the Hare” play which the team had planned in September.   The play covered medication rounds, resident dietary needs, mobility and hoist assistance and a hazard with a comical spin at the end.

We saw a great number of Safety Costumes however, we could not look past The Safety Elves from Regis Greenmount (WA) who came together to celebrate Safety Day.

There were an outstanding number of Safety Cake entries full of creativity and hard work.

Congratulations to Martina and Craig who entered a cake full of carefully crafted fondant figurines!
