For Betty, maintaining her independence has always been important. Having spent the better part of 40 years in her home, she has always taken pride in her home and garden. As time passed, everyday tasks became more challenging, until she discovered the support of Regis Home Care Mildura.

“I used to walk up the hill to do my groceries, but now it’s just too far. Regis takes me to Woolworths now, which is great. It’s a big relief, to be honest”.

While Betty still enjoys doing what she can, she’s learned to accept help when she needs it.
“I told my daughter I was still climbing the ladder to clean the windows, and she said, ‘Mum, stop!’ So, I’m glad I’ve got Regis now.”
“They vacuum the whole house for me, and I’ve got a crook hand, so I really appreciate that. I feel supported when they come. I actually look forward to it.”
What stands out most to Betty is the kindness and attentiveness of the Regis team.
“They always ask, ‘Is there anything else I can do?’ And I thank them for that. I want to do as much as I can myself, but it’s lovely to know they’re there.”
