At Regis Holland Park and Regis Chelmer, Daffodil Day was a celebration of generosity and community spirit.
At Regis Holland Park, the Home was aglow with yellow as its residents gathered to support the Cancer Council. This year’s event brought together residents from both Regis Holland Park and Regis Salisbury for an inter-home celebration. A visit from the Brisbane Regional Specialist brought insights into the impact of cancer research and the importance of community support. Residents generously donated to the cause, with resident Gordon sharing, “It’s good that we all contribute towards such a good cause, and we help others fight cancer.”
Each resident received a bright daffodil, and many chose to exchange flowers with one another. A concert added to the joy of the day, with residents dancing to their favourite tunes. Resident Val shared “I feel so good that I can still contribute to the community by helping in some way, so thank you to everyone for doing Daffodil Day.”
At Regis Chelmer, their Daffodil Day afternoon tea brought together residents, families and team members for a relaxed and meaningful gathering. Treats were shared, stories exchanged and donations made in support of cancer research.
These moments reflect the heart of our Homes, where every resident is supported to live with purpose and where community is built through shared experiences.
