Regis Tasmania – Legana recently welcomed Former Australian Idol winner, singer, guitarist and pianist Damien Leith for a special performance. Residents, families and employees gathered from the Home, and neighbouring Regis Tasmania – Norwood to listen to his soulful music and experience his engaging stage presence. Damien treated the audience to a selection of well-known songs, weaving in personal stories.
Originally scheduled for 30 minutes, Damien’s performance extended well beyond an hour, much to the joy of the audience. His ability to connect through music and storytelling ensured that everyone left with cherished memories.
The event underscored the importance of live entertainment in aged care settings. The combination of music, storytelling and connection offers residents a chance to enjoy cultural experiences and social interaction.
