Living independently while managing health concerns, including a recent knee operation, Joan has found comfort and stability through the dedicated support of our Home Support Workers.
“I’ve been very unwell recently and Regis has been coming quite a lot, nearly every day, sometimes twice a day”

Home Support Worker, Michelle, who Joan describes as a wonderful cook and a caring companion has been caring for Joan for some time and understands her needs.
“Michelle does a lot of cooking for me. She’s a good cook and it makes it easier for me when she’s not here”
In addition to meal preparation, the team assists her with domestic assistance tasks such as making her bed, personal care such as showering, gardening and helping with other household tasks like cleaning.
These services help maintain a safe and pleasant home environment, which is especially important during periods of illness. Shopping and transport support have also made a meaningful impact.
“Regis does all sorts of things such as cleaning my windows, fans, everything like that. They help me with my shopping and take me to doctors’ appointments, which has been very helpful” she said.
This kind of practical help ensures she can continue accessing essential services without added stress.
Although Joan doesn’t go out much due to her health, she feels supported and cared for by the Regis team, appreciating the friendly faces and the reliability of the service.
