Janice and Carol, both residents of the Clover Wing at Regis Port Stephens, have become close friends through shared interests and daily routines. These two are known for their love of art and their lively presence around the Home.

Each day, they sit together at their dining table, where they plan which activities to join. Lately, their favourite spot has been the newly renovated art room. They’ve spent hours there painting, chatting and creating handmade cards.

“The art room is a wonderful, calming, inviting place to be,” Janice shared. “I can be amongst friends, talking as we go and sometimes I even pop in there just after breakfast on my own to continue with a project I’ve been working on. Currently, we are dipping pinecones in glitter, getting ready for Christmas. It’s so lovely when music is playing and the sun comes through the windows. It is a delightful way to start the day.”

Lifestyle team members know to bring afternoon tea to the art room on Mondays and Tuesdays, where Janice and Carol can be found deep in conversation and surrounded by their latest creations.

Their friendship has grown through these shared moments, and their enthusiasm for art has brought colour and connection to the Home.
