Residents and employees from Regis Aspley in Queensland recently celebrated Nepali New Year.
The day marks the first day of the official Bikram Sambat calendar, and is celebrated in Nepal and across the world with vibrant festivals and gatherings with family and friends to promote harmony and new beginnings.
The team at Regis Aspley put on a showcase of traditional food, dress, a performance of the national anthem and dancing.
For resident Sid, it was “a fantastic morning.” He said, “it was great to see the team get involved and wear their traditional dress.”

Resident Wendy summed up the celebrations perfectly when she said, “I really enjoyed the morning. Seeing the employees dressed up and dancing was wonderful.”
This celebration reflects Regis’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by recognising the days and occasions that matter to our people.
