Five of our Homes in Victoria recently came together for an outing to celebrate Mother’s Day in style at Inala Village Café.
Residents and employees from Regis Dandenong North, Regis Inala Lodge, Regis Alawarra Lodge, Regis Ringwood, and Regis Fawkner enjoyed a delightful high tea made up of beef sliders, calamari, assorted wraps and sandwiches, and of course, cake.
Smiles and laughter filled the room, as residents shared memories with each other, and were serenaded by the live entertainment of Jenny Ellison, who played classics songs for residents and employees to sing along and dance to.
Regis Dandenong North resident, Bev said, “I had a wonderful day, sang songs, danced, and of course had the best food. It was lovely to see residents from the other Homes.”
Resident Martha, also from Regis Dandenong North, said, “It was a very nice day, and I had the best high tea celebration with everyone.”
Inter-home events such as this allow residents to expand their social circles, foster a sense of belonging, and participate in physical activities that benefit their overall health.
