Lindy Gottlieb brings joy and colour to Regis Camp Hill, and her amazing efforts have earned her a Regis Care Award for her dedication to improving the lives of residents.

In her role as a volunteer, Lindy helps with anything and everything. She connects with resident and assists with activities. By dedicating her time to the team at Regis Camp Hill, she makes all of their day’s run more smoothly.

Lindy is a talented artist, who has transformed the Home into a place of colour, creativity and self-expression. Aside from decorating the Home’s walls with her works, Lindy also draws portraits of the residents at Regis Camp Hill. Residents and their family members have said this thoughtful act means the world to them. Lindy captures not just the likeness of the resident, but their spirit. Many have been moved to tears after seeing these pieces and express their heartfelt gratitude to Lindy.

Lindy’s compassion was also shown through capturing a special photo during a Community Choir performance, and turning it into a personalised card signed by residents. This meaningful gesture was greatly appreciated and strengthened Regis Camp Hill’s connection to the local community.

Lindy also runs a weekly art session, inspiring those around her to express themselves through different art mediums like painting and drawing. Her gentle natures encourages residents to try this creative outlet, even if they have not done so before.

She also encourages residents to do their morning exercises. She leads the group through the movements and knows where everyone likes to sit. Afterwards, she helps everyone move to morning tea.

At Regis Camp Hill, Lindy offers a helping hand in all activities. On Sundays, she helps run Bingo and brings chocolates from home for prizes. She never forgets a birthday or a favourite snack and even knows everyone’s morning tea orders.

Lindy has been awarded Volunteer of the Year for her creativity, kindness and dedication to the residents at Regis Camp Hill. Congratulations Lindy!
