Recently, a group of Regis Fawkner residents enjoyed a lunch outing to the Pascoe Vale RSL. The visit encouraged social interaction, connection with the local community, and offered a refreshing change of scenery while still in a familiar setting.

Several residents who attended are long-time members of the RSL, making the outing especially meaningful. They were warmly welcomed at the venue and shared a delicious meal filled with conversation and laughter.

The outing was organised by the lifestyle team as part of an ongoing commitment to supporting residents’ social and emotional wellbeing.

“It was so nice to be back at the RSL. I used to come here regularly, and it brought back so many memories,” said Mervyn, a resident and RSL member.

Beverly, another resident, shared, “The food was great, and I loved being out with everyone.”

Lifestyle Coordinator Manu, who accompanied the group, said, “Outings like this are really important. It’s not just about the meal. It’s about reconnecting with places that hold personal meaning, especially for those who have ties to the RSL.”

Residents returned home with full stomachs and smiles, already asking when the next outing will be.
