Congratulations to Matt Loane, who has recently been awarded Excellence in Service and Support at the 2026 Regis Care Awards.

During the Cyclone Alfred emergency in Queensland, Matt Loane showed commitment and teamwork. He worked closely with his Regis team to protect Homes and support employees and residents across Southeast Queensland.

Matt’s reliability and calm approach made a big difference during this challenging time. He stepped in wherever needed, often at short notice, to make sure plans were carried out smoothly. His quick thinking and problem-solving helped everyone stay focused and confident, even when the situation changed rapidly.

One of Matt’s greatest strengths was his ability to keep communication clear and strong. He made sure everyone had the right information and resources to act safely and effectively. By doing this, he reduced stress for employees and residents, helping them feel secure and supported.

Matt also showed genuine care, checking in with employees to make sure they were coping, offered reassurance and encouraged teamwork. His approachable nature created an environment of trust and unity, which kept morale high during the stressful time.

Beyond supporting his own team, Matt worked with external providers to ensure supplies and services reached the Homes that needed them most. His efforts helped maintain safety and comfort for residents, while respecting their personal needs and routines.

Matt Loane’s actions during Cyclone Alfred reflect his excellence in service and support. He not only helped safeguard homes and residents but also supported his team every step of the way. His dedication, leadership, and compassion made a real difference when it mattered most. Congratulations Matt!
