Residents from Regis Magnolia recently visited Regis Camp Hill for a cooking activity that brought both Homes together. The day was centred around connection, conversation and trying something new.
The two Homes came together to try a recipe that was unfamiliar to most, the banana and cheese omelette. As unusual as it sounded, the dish was a hit. Residents from both Homes worked together, sharing the task and enjoying each other’s company.
“The cooking was fun, and the room was filled with laughter and animated conversations,” said Joanne. “It really made the day.”
The activity offered more than just a meal. It encouraged interaction, supported sensory engagement and gave residents a chance to build new friendships. The smell of warm banana and cheese filled the room, and the sound of sizzling omelettes added to the atmosphere. Everyone asked for seconds.
Visits like this help strengthen relationships across our Homes. It gave residents a chance to try something different, spend time with others and enjoy a relaxed morning together.
