Since joining Regis Wynnum in April 2023, Nikki has embraced every opportunity to grow and connect with residents and families. Starting in reception, she quickly transitioned into the role of Club Services Manager in June 2024, a move that felt natural.
“My sister was in this role before me and when she moved on, I applied and stepped into Club Services. I already knew the residents and their families, so it made sense to take that next step,” she said.
In her current role, Nikki’s days are dynamic and at times can involve ‘anything and everything’, which is one of her favourite parts of the role.
“No two days are the same. I handle tours, enquiries, room sales, and once residents move in, I become a concierge, supporting them and their families with whatever they need,”
As the main point of contact for residents and families, Nikki ensures concerns are addressed promptly and that each resident is receiving the best care. Her background in childcare helped shape her approach to aged care, and the natural progression that led her to find a sense of purpose.
“I wanted to work somewhere I could make a difference. Getting to know our residents and their families, building rapport, it’s incredibly rewarding.”
One of Nikki’s favourite parts of the job is hearing the life stories of residents.
“I love learning about what they did before coming here, some have been married for decades, others had fascinating careers. It’s like stepping back in time and understanding a life from 60 or 70 years ago.”
Nikki also credits her supportive team for making her experience at Regis so positive.
“We have a great team here. Everyone has each other’s backs, and there’s a strong culture of support and career progression.”

“We need people in aged care. It’s such a rewarding experience, and it’s a stable industry that’s always going to be needed.”
