Regis Camberwell was buzzing with excitement last week as it hosted the vibrant and heartwarming Regis Got Talent show. Residents from across Victoria came together to perform, cheer each other on, and share a day filled with music, movement, and meaningful connections.

The talent on display was as diverse as it was delightful. From singing and energetic dancing to heartfelt poetry, piano performances, and live drawing, the event showcased the incredible range of skills and passions within the Regis community. The room was alive with energy, spontaneous dancing broke out between acts, and the audience clapped and sang along with joy.

Taking first place was Kevin from Regis Capel Sound, whose aerobics performance had the whole room moving. Fellow Capel Sound resident Ray impressed with his singing, while Rick from Regis Alawarra also earned top marks for his vocal performance. Each act brought something special to the stage.

The judging panel featured Executive Team members Jodie and James, joined by two resident judges: Thelma from Regis Camberwell and Alan from Regis Armadale.

Midway through the show, attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch that gave everyone a chance to mingle and recharge before the second half of performances.

Peter from Regis Alawarra summed it up perfectly, “Very exciting, everyone’s having a great time today.” Olga, General Manager of Regis Brighton, added, “What a fantastic event. The energy in the room is overwhelming.”

Beyond the performances, Regis Got Talent was a powerful reminder of the joy that comes from connection. It brought together residents from homes across Victoria, creating new friendships, shared memories, and a renewed sense of community.

As Richard from Regis Alawarra, who sang Oh What a Beautiful Morning from Oklahoma, put it: “I think it went well. Everyone seemed to like it.” And judging by the smiles, laughter, and dancing that filled the room, he was absolutely right.

Inter-home events like Regis Got Talent offer meaningful opportunities for residents to connect, express themselves, and feel part of a broader community. These gatherings help foster friendships, boost confidence, and create lasting memories through shared experiences.
