We are thrilled to share that Regis was recognised at the Future of Ageing Awards ceremony in Sydney last night. Regis was a finalist in four categories, proudly winning the Community Engagement award and receiving Highly Commended in Health and Wellbeing.

The Future of Ageing Awards celebrate organisations that redefine the ageing experience through innovative programs, operational strategies and service models. These awards recognise industry leaders and changemakers who play a significant role in shaping the future of aged care.

We were delighted to win the Community Engagement category for Eco Fashion Week, an initiative that empowered residents to express creativity, build confidence and strengthen community ties. Through collaboration with families, volunteers and local partners, residents transformed recycled materials into stunning garments that were showcased at major events, fostering intergenerational connections and a renewed sense of purpose.

On winning the award, Sally Smith, National Manager Lifestyle and Engagement, said:
“This recognition reflects the creativity and passion of our residents and the strength of our Lifestyle and Engagement programs. Eco Fashion Week was about celebrating skills, encouraging purpose and showing what can be achieved when sustainability and community come together.”

We also received Highly Commended in Health and Wellbeing for our Circle of Care program, which brings together initiatives that prioritise employee wellbeing, recognition and a sense of belonging.

In addition, we were named a finalist in two other categories:

Health and Wellbeing – Wellness for Me, a program designed to support personalised wellbeing strategies for residents.

Community Engagement – LifeChanger, an intergenerational initiative that builds resilience and life skills through collaboration with young people.

Reflecting on the awards, Linda Mellors, Managing Director and CEO, said:
“The Future of Ageing Awards are a great reminder of the innovation shaping aged care. Seeing our programs recognised on this stage is a proud moment for Regis and for everyone who works tirelessly to make life better for older Australians and those who care for them. These achievements reflect our commitment to leading with hearts and minds.”
