We are pleased to announce that our newest residential aged care home, Regis Toowong, has reached practical completion and will be welcoming its first residents next month.

Located in Brisbane’s inner west, the home is the result of thoughtful design and innovation.

Regis Toowong will accommodate 123 residents across a series of smaller household-style communities, known as ‘neighbourhoods’. Each neighbourhood comprises 16 to 19 bedrooms, creating close-knit communities where meaningful connections can grow and residents can enjoy a greater sense of belonging.

Brad Muller, Development Manager – Property (QLD), says this model is a key point of differentiation for the home, helping create a more familiar environment for residents.

“A key feature of Regis Toowong is the way the home has been designed around smaller living neighbourhoods. Each neighbourhood provides residents with their own dining, lounge, activity, sitting and terrace spaces, creating a more familiar environment that supports independence, connection and everyday living. The result is a contemporary new home that combines these smaller communities with a wide range of indoor and outdoor resident spaces.”

The home also features a café, library, family room, cinema, hair salon and day spa.

Outside, residents can enjoy beautifully landscaped gardens designed to encourage relaxation and social connection. A dedicated garden within the Memory Support Unit will provide a safe and calming environment specifically designed for residents living with dementia.

Many living areas and resident rooms are filled with natural light and offer views across the Brisbane skyline and nearby Mount Coot-tha.

Lyndsay Kirby, General Manager at Regis Toowong, says the team is looking forward to welcoming residents and creating a vibrant community.

“The excitement at Regis Toowong is building every day. Our team has been settling into their new spaces, meeting future residents and families, and welcoming neighbours who have been keen to see inside the home. It’s been especially rewarding to meet our first confirmed resident ahead of her move in November and begin learning about what matters most to her. We’re looking forward to opening our doors, welcoming our first residents, and creating a connected, vibrant community where people feel at home from day one.”
