St Patrick’s Day celebrations were in full swing across our Homes this week.
At Regis Birkdale, residents and employees gathered in the garden for a festive celebration. Dressed in all shades of green, everyone enjoyed a high tea outdoors, complete with themed treats and Irish folk music playing in the background.
After the morning tea, the Lifestyle team hosted a St Patrick’s Day quiz. Who knew blue was the colour originally associated with St Patrick!
For resident Christine, the Home’s celebrations were nostalgic. She said, “I had a wonderful morning today. This celebration reminds me deeply of my parents and my heritage, bringing back memories of how we always celebrated it in Ireland.”
Regis Armadale hosted a vibrant, green-themed high tea and screening of Irish film Waking Ned Devine.
The highlight of the day came with a surprise performance from Lifestyle Assistant Jan, performing a dance from Riverdance, traditional Irish dance musical. The performance had residents laughing and cheering Jan along.
Residents at Regis Fawkner got dressed up in green, with sparkly hats and three leaf clovers. The team served green cupcakes and drinks and the Home’s walls were covered in green balloons and decorations. The celebrations were concluded with a live singing performance. All residents clapped along and enjoyed the lively Irish songs.
Regis Frankston residents and employees decked out their Home in green and had a visit from Irish performers.
Happy St Patrick’s Day!
