Regis Cranbourne celebrated World Chocolate Day with a celebration that brought together flavour, fun and shared memories.

Team members prepared a table filled with chocolates from a wide range of brands and varieties including dark, milk and white, with different cocoa percentages. Some were melted down to make chocolate-covered strawberries and bananas, adding a homemade touch to the spread.

Residents then joined the chocolate presentation and tasting session. Each person received a plate and sampled different chocolates while guessing the flavour, origin and type. The room was filled with conversation, laughter and plenty of sweet surprises.

Residents Glenys and Brenda were crowned chocolate champions and took home Baileys chocolate liqueurs to share.

Celebrating World Chocolate Day at Regis Cranbourne shows how lifestyle programs can support wellbeing in aged care. These moments encourage social connection, stimulate memory and give residents a chance to enjoy something fun and familiar. Team members at Regis Cranbourne organised this celebration to help residents feel part of a community where their interests and experiences are recognised.

Many residents expressed their appreciation, saying how much they enjoyed the experience and the presentation. The afternoon was a joyful example of how flavour and shared experiences can bring people together and create lasting memories.
