Telstra Health

Regis is introducing a new care management system called Telstra Health, which will help our nurses and carers update information related to care quickly and safely using secure Regis mobile devices and dedicated devices.

Telstra Health is Australia’s largest provider of digital health and aged care technology, delivering secure, cloud‑based systems that help aged care homes manage resident information, care plans, assessments, medications, and communication efficiently.

Their clinical management system is widely used across the aged care sector and is designed to:

support safer, more consistent care,
improve real time access to resident information,
integrate with existing systems such as medication management.
strengthen communication between care teams, residents, families, GPs and allied health.

What this means for you

Regis selected Telstra Health after a detailed evaluation to ensure the system meets our clinical, operational, security and privacy requirements. By implementing Telstra Health, we aim to improve the management of resident care and communication in our aged care homes.

  • Faster and simpler processes for your care team
  • Better visibility of care plans and assessments at the point of care
  • Enhanced communication with a built-in messaging system for important updates
  • Secure sharing of information with systems already used across Regis

Regis together with Telstra Health are committed to ensuring this transition is seamless and adheres to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). A careful pilot then scale method is used, with validation gates at each stage to safeguard data integrity and support continuous improvement. The process features rigorous readiness checks and thorough staff training, paired with robust post-go-live support to quickly address any issues and further enhance service quality.

What happens next

From February to September 2026, Regis will start transitioning homes from AutumnCare to Telstra Health. As a result, you will see our nurses and carers using secure Regis mobile devices as they care for our residents. These devices allow them to update clinical care information immediately, right at the point of care.

As part of this process, a registered nurse will meet with each resident to complete an updated clinical assessment and ensure their care plan is current.

All staff will undergo thorough training, and General Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals have been notified of the changes.

If you have any questions, please speak with the home’s Clinical Care Manager, who will be more than happy to assist.
