Eliza is a resident companion at Regis Lutwyche. No day is the same, it changes depending on any given resident’s wants or needs for the day. She could be accompanying residents to the movies, an art gallery or local event, going shopping or heading to a medical appointment with them.
Eliza provides social and emotional support to residents, and builds trusting and close relationships with them. “Connection is a really big part of my role; we have a real warmth between us.”
As someone who’s always loved working with elderly people, Eliza says what she values most is residents’ wisdom and courage.
