Residents from Regis Fawkner recently visited the Broadmeadows Library for a lively community sustainability expo. The library was buzzing with stalls on gardening, sustainability, and local initiatives, creating plenty of opportunities for conversation and discovery. Community connection is part of everyday life at Regis, and outings like this give residents the chance to share experiences, meet new people, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the local area.

Upon arrival, residents were welcomed into a bustling hall with familiar faces and interactive displays.

Residents chatted with stallholders, asked questions and explored new ideas. Several residents won small prizes from the activity stalls, adding to the fun of the day.

One of the most memorable moments was the pedal-powered smoothie station, where residents could pedal a special bicycle to blend their own smoothies. The activity brought plenty of laughter and encouragement from residents, team members and community members alike.

Reflecting on the outing, resident Beverly shared, “I loved meeting new people and learning new things,” while Jefery said, “making my smoothie on the bike was so much fun!”

Team member Germana added that, “it was wonderful to see everyone so engaged, smiling and enjoying such a hands-on experience.”

Community outings like these help residents make the most of life at Regis. They bring together residents, employees and the wider community, creating opportunities for learning and meaningful connection.
