Home Care is offered by aged and health care providers to support older people to stay living safely and independently in their own homes and communities.
Home Care services include a range of personalised nursing and allied health care, assistance with daily living, meal preparation, social support, companionship and respite.
Home Care can be self-funded, or older Australians can apply for support through the Australian Government’s Support at Home program and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
CHSP provides entry-level support for older people who need some help to remain independent at home, while Support at Home provides more comprehensive support for people with higher or more complex care needs.
