When you move into a Regis aged care facility, we work with you to develop a personalised lifestyle program for you. The program focuses on your abilities and personal choices. Our aim is to provide an environment where your life skills can, wherever possible, be retained.
We call this program PIEC&S.
This unique aged care lifestyle program helps you to continue to connect with life through valuing and incorporating their Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Cultural & Social needs and preferences.
The PIEC&S Program focuses on:
Personalisation – an on-going consultation with you ensures the program works for you
Independence – activities are designed to support and maintain your independence
Engagement – we foster and support community links, social lives, and enjoyment of life
Consultation – your program is reviewed monthly in chats between you, your family and our lifestyle staff
Self– esteem- – the program helps raise confidence levels through consultation and volunteering roles.
Our National Lifestyle Team takes ideas, activities and concepts from our facilities across the country and makes them available to all residents.
There are daily activities, weekly programs and at least one major celebration each month.
Our activities are planned as a result of care recipient input and common interest. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to participate as much as possible in lifestyle activities.
These aged care lifestyle programs can include:
We believe it is important, wherever possible, that all aged care residents retain the life skills that give them enjoyment, a sense of purpose and familiarity. You’ll have the opportunity to assist in any activities or areas you are interested in.
There is also an opportunity for you to volunteer for our Resident Buddy Program.
Our Buddies help new residents familiarise themselves with their new aged care home and make new friends.
All volunteer activities are supported by our staff.
Complete the form and a Regis staff member will call you back to arrange a date and time
