Regis Care Partner Update: Tours & Admissions – Queensland

Tours & Admissions – Queensland

Regis will apply stringent access controls as per Queensland State Government advice to all of our homes located within Southern Metro catchment. These controls will remain in place until we have a better understanding of community transmission in Queensland.

During this period we are still accepting new residents – both permanent and respite. Residents that present to us from hospital with a clear viral test will be admitted as per our standard admissions process. Prospective residents who are assessed as high risk, but not displaying any symptoms, will still be admitted to Regis Homes but will be subject to additional precautions. These include being isolated in a single room with private ensuite for 14 days, with clinical observations completed twice daily. This is to ensure that if any symptoms present we can still isolate the resident without endangering residents already in our homes. High risk is defined as coming from a known COVID-19 hotspot, being in contact with a person who is symptomatic or traveling from overseas.

At this time we are not restricting admission times. However we will be reviewing as circumstances change.

Tours at this time will be restricted to phone conversations and virtual tours in our Southern Metro homes, with modified tours available at our remaining Queensland homes. As per Queensland State Government directive visitors to Aged Care Homes have been restricted to certain circumstances for further information on process of admission and who can visit the Home please contact relevant Regis Facility Manager.
