Regis Holland Park residents recently enjoyed a memorable outing to Summer Land Camel Farm.

The farm, situated about an hour outside of Brisbane in the scenic Fassifern Valley is home to a large caravan of camels.

Residents had the unique opportunity to feed and pat the camels, with some proving cheekier than others by pinching food straight from their hands!

For resident Mele, it was a truly exciting experience. “I can’t believe I got to feed the camels,” she said,” it’s my first time, and it was such a beautiful experience.”

Laughing, resident Maria added, “I think the camels enjoyed our company just as much as we enjoyed theirs, we might have made some new friends today!”

It was a wonderful opportunity for residents to connect with each other while enjoying the camels’ curious and playful nature.

The group also took in the stunning views of nearby Lake Wivenhoe while enjoying lunch together.

Resident Trevor reflected, “I used to come here with my family, it brings back so many lovely memories.”

On the bus home, resident Greta expressed her appreciation to the Regis Holland Park team. “Thank you all for taking us out and looking after us so well,” she said, “I feel very lucky and grateful.”
